Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Conifer, Colorado. The farm's elevation is 8277' above sea level, weather in Colorado is pretty exciting already. Add another 3000' in elevation and the weather gets even more exciting. It can snow anytime from September to June, but we wouldn't be surprised if it snowed in July or August. Typically, we're seeing monsoons and hail in July and August.
In Spring of 2019 we moved to Conifer, CO. We brought along with us some of our city chickens and our doggos. Once we got a few boxes unpacked, I started searching for goats. I had always wanted goats!!! I had my heart set on Mini Nubians, the EARS!!!
Growing the farm - A couple goats has turned into a few more, then a just a few more... and there are always "keeper" kids. The struggle is real #goatmath
I love hanging out with my herd, they are sweet and social. My goals are to have friendly, easy keeping, gorgeous goats with milk and conformation.
We plan to start showing our goats starting Summer of 2022 and possibly a DHI program.
Eclair is show ready with a fresh haircut,
looking quite posh here.
Starlight gives the clippers 1 star out of 5.
2021 retained doeling, I love her but can't she stay setup for a photo?! She's a little opinionated.
She was DQ'd due to missing tattoo's but I think she would have done well.
There's always next year.
We drove 1.5 hours East in thick fog on a Saturday morning. All the way to Bennett, CO
I asked Paul to smile, this is what I got. :)
Eclair won 1st place and best udder in her class. Not bad for her first show, and her rookie farmher showing her.
Starlight won 2st place and best udder in her class. Not bad for her first show, and her rookie farmher showing her.
We did start making goat milk soap!!
Check out the soapery. There's something for everyone.
